Found some amazing locations!!

So I have been working in DC for the last year, and I found an amazing location near my office, which may be perfect to do some filming!! I am waiting to see about a certain camera I may receive for Christmas, but if not I will make due with some other things! trying to figure out what I'm doing and who to do it with! Anyhoo, I hope everyone is well during the holiday season!! This should be great!

KICK ASS!!

I am going to see Kick Ass tonight, and I am super excited about it, my only anxiety is about traffic and whether I can get across town in enough time to get to get to the theater!! I know its gonna be great, the question comes down to whether I should get popcorn? Because its a silent killer and there are just so many calories, but its liable to become my dinner so maybe I should. Or I can get another tasty treat like a hot dog, or pizza? Any other ideas?

Anyhoo, I guess I will make that decision when the time comes to it, I may not eat anything depending on the time I get there. Hopefully traffic will bend to my will and allow me to get there on time!! So ciao, ta ta for now!!

It's been a while

I apologize, to who ever read this, not that anyone does, but I am back again. One of our shows premiered last night to much acclaim, if you have the time, Treme, should certainly be at the top of your watch list, for shows. If not, you are totally missing out. I am continuing my script, and I have changed my title again, so until I get more down, I am going to hold off for registering it. Still trying to figure a way to get to Comic-Con, because it would be totally amazing to go this year, however, I was way to late to get tickets, but we shall see. I am liking my job, we are ahead of schedule at this point, which is great, but more is coming, and I am looking forward to that. Umm, got a funny manicure this weekend, who knew that just getting white tips on my fingers was such an ordeal, I mean my nails still feel wierd, but we shall see how long they last, hopefully it was worth the price i paid for them. My pedicure is great though. Umm, crazy friday into saturday, helping my friend Michelle with her film, but fun nonetheless, and I get a credit and copy, so that is good. I still can't believe we are in the second week of April, we are slowly creeping toward summer, so its crazy, and especially for all my friends still in school, who are graduating, they are so excited. I am so ready for summer, thinking about buying a kayak, but we will see how the rest of April goes, I don't plan on buying one till I am sure I am gonna use it! Alright, well I am gonna go, I will write more soon.

End of Another Day

Its nearing the end of another day, and I find myself, excited about the weekend. I am finishing up some projects for the future, and then I will make the long trek, home, now the issue becomes, do I stay and work later in order to avoid the traffic, or leave at 6 and sit in traffic for hours. I believe I will do the latter!! Besides, if anything I will sit read Harry Potter, while I am waiting for stuff to finish!! So, I am just writing this at the end of another day, and its gonna be good! I am so happy to have a job! And I am so happy to have somewhere to go after its over.

New Job!!!

I have a job, and I am so excited!! So we just had the 82nd Oscar Awards, last weekend, March 7th. And I have to say this year was the most predictable year ever, I believe. I think going in, most people knew who was going to win, which awards. Sandra Bullock for Best Actress, Jeff Bridges for Best Actor, the Hurt Locker for best picture and best Director Katherine Bigelow. Inglourious Basterds got its fair share of awards as well. As did Precious, which is great!! So I am giving a general note out to all, that I will hopefully be at the 85th Academy Awards, with something nominated, if my plans work out!! That is my goal. So while I am taking a few minutes at work to write this down, I just wanted to get that into the blogosphere!! LOL, umm I have yet to see Alice in Wonderland, which was released last Friday, but I am excited to see it and will probably do so in a week or two.

Ohhh, and I am going to Disneyland on Saturday, and I am ready to have a ton of fun at the HOUSE OF MOUSE!!! YAY

Hope everyone and all is well,

Jan 2010

Hello,

I'm back, sorry for my december hiatus, but as the shows go, so do I!! LOL, no, I have just been spending all of my time looking for a job, and it sucks right now to not have one, so I am spending all of time looking for something!! So lets see, a movie update, because unfortunately I am not making any of my own films right now, although I have started to write a couple, I am gonna talk about the Hollywood movies I have seen recently that I think need to be talked about, ok, well "Avatar", was ridiculous, completely predictable but hey the technology was cool, so I guess if you wanted some visual stimulation, then have at it, but looking for a story line, seriously left me wanting.

"Sherlock Holmes," was fun, fast paced and full of action, many people have told me that there were many bits where Robert Downey Jr. was hard to understand, and yeah I could see that, the film required a unique amount of concentration, so those people who were going to a movie where they didn't want to think were probably disappointed.

Umm, what else, oh yeah "Princess and the Frog," was definitely my favorite film of the holidays, if not 2009 in general, I LOVED this movie, its message and the music, Disney did it again, and I am seriously loving every minute of it!! It had great memorable characters, and a disney couple which made my heart flutter.

"Invictus" was another great one, I really enjoyed this, what I guess I will call a Sports-biopic, about Nelson Mandela, and his involvement in the 1995 Rugby World Cup, as well as South Africa's eventual win!! With great actors, a very intriguing storyline, and background during a release where people really just want to feel better, it makes you feel like even when you want to sit down and give up, "you are the master of your fate, you are the captain of your soul."

"The Road" very dark, very depressing in some senses but the struggle that a father and son went through, just to stay alive, showed a fantastic side of the human spirit, of the need for survival, and the desire to try to make things better for the next generation, even when there may not be any hope left.

"It's Complicated" a funny romantic comedy with Meryl Streep, who's autograph I got, when I was a the premier for "Julie and Julia." Its a really cute little movie about 40-50 somethings who aren't the old frazzled people we sometimes see our parents as. These are people who are looking for love, and still have sex, and like having a good time doing things they love. It's a great movie to see with the parentals!!

"Leap Year," probably the most recent thing I have seen, and because I saw it for free, I don't really have buyers remorse, but if I had spent money on it, I would have been a little mad because its a really cute fun romcom, but the sweetness of it doesn't really stay with you after its over. You may walk out of the theater feeling a little bit better, but about an hour later, you probably will forget you saw it!

"Up in the Air," was not what I was expecting at all, which made it uniquely enjoyable, atleast until the last 15 minutes. I thought it was a great story for the times, and really showed the state of the world as it is now. I mean people who are brought in to downsize a company, because the head honcho is too weak to do it himself, can be characters who are aren't exactly rooting for, but George Clooney and Ana Kendricks, make their characters inherently flawed and believable to a point that while you may not like what they are doing, you are rooting for them anyways. And in the end when George Clooney's character arc doesn't end the way you want it to, you feel this sense of foreboding. Like "not all is well that doesn't end well." So the ending was sad and turned me off a little bit, the acting was impeccable, and it was an interesting story!

That is really all for now, and I have seen some others but I guess they weren't that memorable, since I am not adding them, but if I think of anything else, I will post something else.

I hope you are having a good friday,

Lindsay
